Al-Qus – Saba:
Israeli enemy forces deployed iron barriers around Damascus Gate, a key entrance to the Old City of occupied al-Qus, on Sunday afternoon.
This deployment is in preparation for securing a provocative flag march by Zionist enemy settlers scheduled for Monday.
According to the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa), the march is planned to start at al-Buraq Square, proceed through Damascus Gate, and enter the Palestinian-populated al-Wad neighborhood within the Old City.
Al-Quds Governorate has warned of a dangerous escalation in the city due to ongoing Israeli Judaization efforts aimed at establishing Zionist sovereignty over al-Quds, in violation of international law and UN resolutions.
In a recent statement, the Governorate described the annual flag march as part of a systematic and provocative agenda, often accompanied by attacks on Maqdeseyans and the chanting of racist slogans against Muslims and Christians. The march will occur under heavy Israeli enemy police protection, with a complete closure of the area starting at 12:30 p.m.
The report also noted a significant increase in incursions into al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist Zionist settlers since the beginning of the Israeli enemy aggression on Gaza on October 7, 2023.
