Polling stations in the fourth and final phase of Lebanon’s municipal and elective elections in the southern region witnessed a massive turnout from supporters of the Resistance, who came to cast their votes in a clear show of political stance. The voters threw their weight behind the "Loyalty and Development" lists, which they see as representing their developmental and political interests.
Participants in the electoral process reaffirmed their allegiance to the martyred Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, pledging continued commitment to his path of resistance against occupation and the pursuit of national sovereignty.
In this context, Lebanese MP Hassan Fadlallah, a member of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, told Al-Manar website that the scene witnessed today was "an electoral moment rich in meaning, reflecting the awareness and national commitment of the people of the south."
Fadlallah emphasized that "the clearest political message of these elections was directed at the Israeli enemy: despite threats and aggression, the people of the south remain steadfast in their political choice, their adherence to the Resistance, and their right to build their local institutions."
He added: "Yesterday, we saw heavy traffic on the coastal road heading south, and today the scene repeats itself… This electoral surge is an expression of belonging to the land, the Resistance, and the martyrs who sacrificed their blood for these villages and towns
