Ramallah - Saba:
Prisoner institutions said on Tuesday that the Israeli prison administration is attempting to eliminate a group of leaders of the prisoners' movement in solitary confinement cells.
In a joint statement, they indicated that the enemy system continues to develop more tools and methods aimed at systematically killing and eliminating leaders of the prisoners' movement, in which all occupation agencies participate, according to a clear plan.
They noted that the repressive forces are using all kinds of weapons in their attacks on detainees, in addition to a series of assaults, torture, and terror operations practiced against them in an unprecedented manner since the beginning of the genocide.
They explained that they obtained a detailed account of the reality of the leaders of the prisoners' movement through visits by legal teams. They are subjected to attacks beyond description and imagination. The repressive forces deliberately continue beating them until they bleed. They use all types of weapons to beat and abuse them, including batons and machetes, as well as police dogs equipped with iron helmets. The institutions noted that, over the past period, many prisoners serving life sentences, including leaders of the prisoner movement, have been subjected to systematic and repeated attacks, resulting in many of them sustaining various injuries and chronic health problems. This is in addition to the crime of starvation, which has caused severe emaciation and severe weight loss.
The institutions confirmed that at the end of last March, a group of leaders of the prisoner movement were transferred from the isolation ward of Rimon Prison to the cells of Megiddo Prison, which was accompanied by systematic attacks and abuse that affected all those transferred.
The prisoners' institutions held the occupation fully responsible for the fate of thousands of prisoners, including leaders and figures of the prisoner movement. They also renewed their demand for the international human rights community to move forward with taking effective decisions to hold the enemy's leaders accountable for the war crimes they continue to commit against our people.
It is noteworthy that since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip, (69) detainees have been martyred, and they are the only ones whose identities have been announced, in addition to dozens of martyrs whose identities the enemy continues to conceal, specifically the martyrs detained from Gaza, as a result of the systematic crimes that have been monitored by institutions over the past months, which constitute an extension of historical crimes.
