Gaza - Saba:
The Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip announced that the death toll from the Israeli aggression since midnight has risen to 52.
Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Basal said in a statement, "52 martyrs as a result of the continued Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip from midnight and dawn today until 9:00 PM. The bombardment is still ongoing, and the enemy is expanding its ground operation, committing new war massacres and leaving a large number of martyrs."
Despite the ongoing truce negotiations in Doha and talk of new proposals to end the war, the occupation forces continued their escalation, launching dozens of bloody raids on the Gaza Strip, causing dozens of new casualties. Among these was a special operation in which a resistance leader in Khan Younis was executed and his family kidnapped. Meanwhile, the burden on the population has increased due to new displacement orders issued by the occupation army.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that 136 martyrs and 364 wounded had arrived at hospitals over the past 24 hours. This indicates that the death toll from the Israeli aggression has risen to 53,486 martyrs and 151,398 wounded since October 7, 2023. Meanwhile, a number of victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, unable to be reached by ambulance and civil defense crews.
This coincided with the continuation of violent attacks on areas in the northern Gaza Strip. Since the end of last week, ground incursions into the outskirts have been accompanied by bombings and the demolition of numerous buildings, resulting in bloody massacres that have resulted in the deaths of dozens of civilians and the injury of hundreds more. Many victims remain buried under the rubble of destroyed homes.
As part of the ongoing pressure on areas in the northern Gaza Strip and the threat of displacement, enemy forces have imposed a siege on the Indonesian Hospital, which provides essential medical services in the northern Gaza Strip.
Enemy forces shelled a number of houses near Al-Awda Hospital in the Tal al-Zaatar area, shelled the northwestern areas of Beit Lahia with artillery, and detonated a booby-trapped robot in that area.
This was accompanied by continued artillery shelling and heavy machine gun fire on areas east of Gaza City and the southeastern areas near the incursion zone around the "Netzarim Axis".
In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli artillery carried out heavy shelling on areas north of the Nossairat refugee camp, specifically on the outskirts of the Al-Da'wa and Al-Mufti neighborhoods, in addition to shelling the town of Al-Maghraqa.
Local sources reported that heavy gunfire also targeted the northern and eastern areas of the Boraij refugee camp, in addition to targeting the eastern outskirts of the Al-Maghazi refugee camp.
Meanwhile, the occupation forces launched a special operation that lasted approximately twenty minutes and spanned several areas in Khan Younis. The operation involved a special force disguised as women infiltrating an area in the city center. There, they executed Ahmed Sarhan, a leader of the Popular Resistance Committees in the city, and then arrested his family, including a young child and his wife. The Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Resistance Committees, stated that the "senior commander," Ahmed Kamel Sarhan, was responsible for special operations within the brigades.
An eyewitness from the area of the special operation said that a force of "undercover" soldiers, dressed in clothing similar to that of Gazans, entered the area at approximately 6:45 a.m. on Monday morning. They immediately raided a house, executed a citizen, and kidnapped his family and a 10-year-old child. "They took the child and executed his father," he said. This witness, who lives in a nearby house, indicated that the operation was accompanied by heavy gunfire targeting everything moving in the area. He and his family hid in a windowless area after bullets entered the house.
A force of "Musta'ribeen," dressed in clothing similar to that of Gaza residents, entered the area at approximately 6:45 a.m. on Monday morning. They immediately raided a house, executed a citizen, and kidnapped his family and a 10-year-old child.
He noted that warplanes carried out several "fire belts," while drones were firing heavily. Speaking of a neighbor, he said, "One man went out to see what was happening, and they executed him."
According to eyewitness accounts, the special force was traveling in a white vehicle and arrived at the station area. It appeared to be transporting displaced women carrying luggage. Nine soldiers dressed in women's clothing got out of the vehicle, some with their faces uncovered, others with their faces covered. They immediately entered the Sarhan family home, where sounds of gunfire were heard, resulting from a clash between the targeted individual and the force before his execution. The force then withdrew from the area under heavy air cover, including dozens of raids.
The Israeli army threatened those in the Qarara and Wadi al-Salqa areas with displacement, stating that it would attack those areas with force. It also called on residents to head to the Mawasi area, which is suffering from shelling and a lack of services. Many newly displaced families have been forced to sleep in the open and on the streets due to the lack of tents.
In the same context, Israeli attacks continued on the city of Rafah, in the far south of the Gaza Strip, which is witnessing a complete incursion and occupation by the Israeli army. Explosions were heard from the outskirts of Khan Younis, resulting from artillery shelling and the demolition of buildings.
