The Health and Environment Office in Taiz province on Tuesday concluded a refresher training course for workers in therapeutic nutrition departments, with the participation of 37 employees from hospitals and centers in the districts of Al-Ta'iziyah, Khadir, Sharab As-Salam, Sharab Ar-Rawdah, and Mawiyah, supported by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The six-day course aimed to provide 37 healthcare workers with knowledge on reviewing data and information related to children suffering from malnutrition, treating inpatient cases, and the medications prescribed for them.
During the closing ceremony, Dr. Fadhl Al-Qubati, Deputy Director of the Health Office in the province, explained that the course falls within the framework of the plan prepared by the Nutrition Program at the Ministry of Health, aiming to train health personnel in Therapeutic Feeding Centers (TFC) and provide the best health and nutritional services for children in inpatient departments.
He emphasized the office's commitment to improving the level of health services in the province and prioritizing the training of healthcare workers and volunteers, particularly in the nutrition program, given its importance in the health sector.
For his part, Abdullah Al-Haydari, Director of the Nutrition Department at the Health Office, urged the trainees to continue their efforts in providing therapeutic services to children suffering from malnutrition.
