Taiz - Saba:
A meeting was held on Tuesday in Taiz Governorate, chaired by Dr. Najeeb Al-Qubati, Deputy Minister of Health and Environment, and attended by Tila Mohammed, Head of the Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)-Holland mission in Yemen.
The meeting, which included the directors of the Health and Environment Office in the province, Dr. Abdulmalik Al-Mutawakel, and Taiz General Hospital, Dr. Al-Muntasir Ali Saeed, discussed procedures for transferring the Mother and Child Hospital to Taiz General Hospital and securing longer-term incentives for the medical and health staff after MSF's withdrawal.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Health and Environment emphasized the ministry's commitment to equipping and operating Taiz General Hospital as a crucial step to meet citizens' healthcare needs and alleviate their suffering.
Meanwhile, Dr. Al-Mutawakel, Director of the Health Office in the province, expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Ministry of Health and the local authorities for their continued support to the healthcare sector in Taiz. He also praised MSF's role in providing medical and humanitarian services to patients.
For his part, the Head of the MSF-Holland mission in Yemen commended the cooperation of the Ministry of Health and Environment, local authorities, and the Health Office in facilitating the organization's work.
