Pezeshkian: Muslims' duty to confront injustice

Pezeshkian: Muslims' duty to confront injustice

Tehran - Saba:

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that all Muslims are obligated to confront injustice and oppression, and must strive to establish justice and defend the oppressed.

During the international conference "Resistance Diplomacy and Commemorating the Martyrs of Service," held Sunday to honor the martyrs of service who sacrificed their lives for justice and the Iranian people, Pezeshkian emphasized, according to the Iranian news agency IRNA, that the efforts of Iranian officials are directed toward establishing justice and defending the oppressed, and this is the main reason for Iran's stance on Palestine and Gaza.

"We take a stand against murderers and criminals who wear elegant clothes and talk about human rights, but commit the most brutal acts on earth," he added.

He stated that there is no greater atrocity than the fearless killing of women, children, and innocents, adding, "These crimes are committed while the perpetrators claim to be defending their rights."

This killing and inhumane behavior is perpetrated against the Islamic community. Even if the community is not Islamic, any injustice occurs anywhere in the world, and Muslims are obligated to confront it. If a person remains silent in the face of such injustice, their Islam and even their humanity are questioned.

Pezeshkian continued, stating that striving for justice on earth and serving the Iranian people is the primary concern of the country's officials, adding, "When there is justice, there is no fighting or aggression. Aggression occurs when we are not satisfied with what we have and begin to infringe upon the rights of others."

Referring to Martyr Raisi's services and efforts in serving the people, Pezeshkian said, "Martyr Raisi was a tireless administrator who devoted all his efforts to serving the people and implementing his beliefs." He endeavored with all his might, noting that the names and memories of these dear ones and all the martyrs who fell on the battlefronts and in the cause of truth and justice will remain immortal in the hearts of society. They left behind their sacrifices for society.

In conclusion, Pezeshkian referred to Imam Khomeini's words, "Disagreement stems from selfishness and arrogance." He pointed out that serving the people does not require conflict, and that the path to serving the people in Iran, the region, and the world is open to those who work hard and serve the people instead of words.
