Taher al-Nunu, a leader in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said on Saturday: "We do not regret the release of prisoner Idan, and we have proven to the world that we are not the party obstructing the agreement."
He stressed that "the phase of partial deals is over," explaining that "Hamas agreed to the current round of negotiations without preconditions."
In an interview with Qatari Al Jazeera Mubasher channel, al-Nunu called for "the immediate entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, as this is a fundamental right that is not linked to the negotiations."
He said: "We have not seen any seriousness from the (Israeli) side in the indirect negotiations in Doha," considering "the US administration's position of not pressuring for the entry of aid to be reprehensible and unacceptable."
Al-Nunu added: "We need significant Arab and international pressure on the occupation to stop the war on Gaza."
He continued, "We realize that the Israeli side is being stubborn in the negotiations, but we will not leave any stone unturned to stop the war against our people." He noted that "Hamas has dealt seriously and in good faith with the US administration to pressure for the entry of humanitarian aid to our people."
