Gaza - (Saba):
Commanders in the Zionist enemy army acknowledged the difficulty of the ongoing battles in eastern Gaza City, especially in the Shujaiya neighbourhood, pointing out that Hamas fighters have adopted more sophisticated and effective tactics in the field.
The Zionist newspaper ‘Maariv’ quoted the commander of the Jerusalem Brigade in the Zionist enemy army as saying that his forces ‘detected a change in the way Hamas fights,’ adding that the movement's elements ‘possess large quantities of weapons and deal cunningly, and lure our soldiers into deliberate ambushes, which requires us to double our efforts.’
Another field brigade commander said the battles in the Shujaiya neighbourhood were ‘fierce’, adding: ‘We paid a heavy price there,’ referring to the human and military losses incurred by the enemy army during the clashes.
These statements come at a time when battles continue in the eastern neighbourhoods of Gaza City, where the Zionist enemy forces are facing strong resistance from Palestinian factions, amid an official blackout on the extent of the losses incurred by the Zionist enemy army.
