Washington - Saba:
Democratic Senator Peter Welch and 28 other US Senators have introduced a resolution calling on the Trump administration to immediately end the blockade of the Gaza Strip.

This came in a statement released by Senator Welch last night, highlighting the "unprecedented" humanitarian crisis unfolding in the Gaza Strip.

In a speech on the Senate floor, Welch said, "Children in Gaza are dying of hunger, and we cannot accept or support the deliberate starvation policy pursued by the government" of Israel, according to the same statement.
