Egyptian star Mohamed Salah leads the list of nominees for the Premier League Player of the Year award in the 2024-2025 season, amid strong competition from seven other players.

The list includes Liverpool's Dutch duo Virgil van Dijk and Ryan Gravenbirch, along with Newcastle United's Swedish striker Alexander Isaacs, Australian Chris Wood, Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White, Arsenal's Declan Rice, and Brentford's Cameroonian striker Brian Mbiumo.


There are no players from Manchester City, the reigning Premier League champions for the past four seasons, according to Russia Today.


Mohamed Salah has been in fine form this season, topping the Premier League scoring charts with 28 goals, five more than his nearest rival Alexander Isaacs, as he moves closer to a fourth Golden Boot award in his career.


Salah was recently crowned Premier League Player of the Year for the 2024 season, as voted by the Football Writers' Association of England.
