Doctors Without Borders (MSF) said on Thursday, "We are currently witnessing the creation of conditions for the extermination of Palestinians in Gaza," noting that "the Strip has become hell on earth for Palestinians."
The organization confirmed in a statement on its official website that "Israel," the occupying power, has deliberately caused a humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip.
The organization warned that its field medical teams have observed a 32% increase in the number of patients suffering from malnutrition over the past two weeks.
The organization continued: "The health facilities that are still operating, already severely under-staffed and under-capacity, continue to be attacked and are rapidly running low on medicines and other essential supplies." It noted that its teams in Gaza have not received any supplies for 11 weeks and are facing severe shortages of essential medical supplies, such as sterile compresses and gloves.
