Moscow - (Saba):
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on Thursday extending the current Russian defense plan for the period 2021–2025 by an additional two years, making it effective until 2027.
According to Russia Today, the presidential decree stated: “Replace the phrase ‘for the years 2021–2025’ with ‘for the years 2021–2027’.”
The original defense plan for 2021–2025 was approved on November 12, 2020.
It is worth noting that the first-ever defense plan in Russian history was adopted in January 2013. The document outlined potential risks and threats to national security and linked key measures such as the development of the armed forces, implementation of armament programs, preparation for general mobilization, and the strengthening of regional defense.
