Sana’a - Saba:
Sana’a International Airport on Thursday resumed civilian flights after a several-day suspension due to an Israeli attack.

Yahya Al-Siyani, Deputy Minister of Transport and Works – Chairman of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the airport has fully restored its operational and technical readiness to receive civilian flights in accordance with the requirements and standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

He confirmed the arrival and departure of ten humanitarian flights operated by the United Nations and international organizations working in Yemen, with all ground and navigational services provided as per standard international airport procedures.

Al-Siyani noted that Sana’a International Airport and Yemenia Airways have completed all required technical and operational procedures, pending only the completion of necessary permit approvals from the Jordanian side.

"Intensive coordination is currently underway between Yemenia Airways and the relevant authorities in Jordan to finalize the necessary procedures for the regular resumption of civilian flights," Al-Siyani said. "Flights are expected to resume in the coming hours once the Jordanian side completes the required arrangements."

He added that the airport’s technical and engineering infrastructure has been fully prepared, including the maintenance and readiness of the runway, installation of operational systems in departure , arrival halls, as well as passport control, inspection, sterilization points—ensuring smooth passenger movement and safety.
