Zionist enemy Forces uprooted dozens of olive trees and bulldozed agricultural land in the village of Madama, south of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank, on Tuesday.
The head of the village council, Abdullah Ziada, stated in a press statement that the Zionist enemy forces bulldozed large areas of agricultural land and uprooted dozens of olive trees, in a new development without prior warning.
Ziada pointed out that the uprooted olive trees represent a source of livelihood for their owners, stressing that these measures are part of the policy of settlement expansion, the construction of military roads, and the continuation of the occupation's violations against land and people.
Olive trees carry profound economic and cultural symbolism for Palestinians, and uprooting them is a means of pressure to displace residents or confiscate more land.
