Jenin - Saba:
Israeli forces continue their aggression on the city of Jenin and its camp for the 112th consecutive day, expanding their bulldozing and destruction operations inside the camp to alter its features and structure. They continue to prevent entry and access to the camp.
The Palestinian WAFA News Agency reported that Israeli forces abused a Palestinian young man at the entrance to Jenin camp this morning, Monday, after detaining and handcuffing him.
Last night, Israeli forces stormed the towns of Araba, Arbouna, Jalqamus, and Arana, patrolling the streets with infantry units, and obstructing the movement of civilian vehicles at the entrance to the village of Arbouna.
Villages in Jenin Governorate are witnessing almost daily incursions as the Israeli aggression against the city and camp continues. Daily military activity is observed in most villages in the governorate, along with the constant presence of enemy patrols and vehicles.
Enemy forces raided the home of Imad al-Saadi in the al-Jabariyat neighborhood. They also continue to completely close off Jenin Camp, preventing access to it, amid ongoing bulldozing and destruction operations aimed at altering its structure and features. According to Jenin Municipality estimates, approximately 600 homes have been completely demolished in the camp, while the rest have been partially damaged and rendered uninhabitable. The occupation continues to fire live ammunition intensively in the camp.
Jenin City is also witnessing significant damage to facilities, homes, and infrastructure, particularly in the eastern neighborhood and the al-Hadaf neighborhood.
Israeli enemy forces continue to send additional military reinforcements toward the camp and its surroundings, while the city witnesses daily deployment of infantry units in several neighborhoods.
Families from the camp, along with hundreds of families from the city and its surrounding areas, remain forcibly displaced to this day. The Jenin Municipality reports that the number of displaced persons from the camp and the city has exceeded 22,000.
The economic situation in Jenin is deteriorating further, with heavy commercial losses recorded as a result of the Israeli aggression. This aggression has led to the closure of many shops, a decline in shopping traffic entering the city from outside, and the bulldozing and destruction of infrastructure and streets. A large number of shops have been damaged, especially in the western neighborhoods, which are experiencing near-total economic paralysis. The aggression has caused losses initially estimated at more than $300 million.
Since the start of the Israeli aggression on the city and camp on January 21, 2020, 40 Palestinians have been killed, along with dozens more injured and arrested.
