On the night of May 6-7, India announced the launch of a military operation against Pakistan, dubbed "Operation Sindhur," which it claimed targeted "sites from which attacks against India were planned and directed."
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif affirmed that his country reserves the full right to respond to the Indian military operation. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry, in turn, said in a statement that the Indian military operation was a "blatant act of war" that threatens Pakistan's sovereignty and stability.
