UNICEF: Facial Recognition Technology as Condition for Accessing Aid in Gaza Unacceptable

Gaza - Saba:
The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has rejected the Israeli plan to impose facial recognition technology as a condition for accessing aid in the Gaza Strip. UNICEF considers this to be in violation of all humanitarian principles and contributes to the monitoring of beneficiaries for intelligence purposes.

In a statement, UNICEF expressed its rejection of the Israeli plan regarding aid distribution, noting that this plan exacerbates the suffering of civilians and forces them into forced displacement.
