Occupied Jaffa - (Saba):
Eight people were injured and five airlines suspended their flights to Jaffa on Sunday following the impact of a Yemeni ballistic missile at Ben Gurion Airport, located north of the occupied city of Lod.
According to the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, Israeli emergency services confirmed the number of injured had risen to eight after the missile strike on the airport.
Israeli media reported that the explosion caused by the Yemeni missile left a 25-meter-deep crater at the airport.
Israel's army radio quoted a military source saying that both the American THAAD system and the Israeli Arrow (Hetz) missile defense system attempted to intercept the missile but failed.
Israeli outlets stated that five European airlines suspended their flights to "Tel Aviv" today, while a French airline announced it would halt flights until Tuesday morning, due to the missile strike near Ben Gurion Airport.
The Israeli military acknowledged the missile launch from Yemen toward Israel and admitted its defense systems failed to intercept it.
Israel’s Home Front Command reported that sirens sounded in Jaffa ("Tel Aviv"), Jerusalem, and settlements across the West Bank following the missile launch.
Millions of settlers reportedly fled to shelters after the missile was launched from Yemen.
