Amnesty International said that the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip constitutes a war crime, calling on Israel to end its devastating blockade of Gaza immediately.

Amnesty International stressed on Friday that the Israeli blockade on Gaza is an act of genocide and a blatant form of illegal collective punishment.

It noted that Israel has been banning the entry of aid and commercial goods into the Strip since March 2.

It explained that two months of a cruel and inhumane blockade are further evidence of Israel's intent to commit genocide in Gaza.

Amnesty International confirmed that Israel is using starvation as a method of warfare in its blockade of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli occupation forces renewed their aggression on the Gaza Strip at dawn on March 18, 2025, with airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of more than 2,326 civilians and the injury of 6,050 others. This reversal of a ceasefire agreement with Hamas and other resistance factions that had been in place for approximately 60 days was unacceptable.
