Iranian Government Rules Out Sabotage in Shahid Rajaei Port Incident
[Wed, 30 Apr 2025 22:59:20 +0300]

Tehran - SABA:

The Iranian government has dismissed the possibility of sabotage in the recent fire at Shahid Rajaei Port, suggesting human error as the likely cause based on preliminary investigations.

Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mahagerani, in a press briefing on Wednesday, stated:
"There has been no cover-up regarding news of this incident. We are committed to transparency—information was provided on-site by the Interior Minister and local officials, and the investigation remains ongoing."

She emphasized:
"We must await the expert committee's final report. While all negligent parties will be held accountable, we should allow the technical investigation to conclude before drawing definitive conclusions. There is no reason to withhold the truth from the public."
