Ammar Hijazi, the State of Palestine's representative to the International Court of Justice, stated that the Palestinian people are being starved, bombed, and displaced by Israel, asserting that Israel's highest court has authorized the denial of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

The International Court of Justice opened a week of hearings to review Israel's humanitarian obligations towards the Palestinian people, more than fifty days after imposing a comprehensive blockade on the entry of humanitarian aid into the war-torn Gaza Strip.
