Taiz - Saba:

Acting Governor of Taiz Ahmed al-Masawa on Thursday inspected the initial construction work on the third sector of a vital road project in al-Taezeyah district.

This 270 million riyal project, funded by the local authority, will connect the Sana'a line and the northern entrance of Taiz city (Osaifera - al-Ramda), spanning nine kilometers and 200 meters with a width of seven meters.

Al-Masawa emphasized the road's importance in facilitating future expansion in the province, noting its passage through mostly non-agricultural and mountainous terrain suitable for population growth. He stated that this third sector would serve as a model for organized urban planning, acting as a key arterial road for the new city of Taiz.

The acting governor indicated that the initial phase provides a clear vision for the new city's organized layout and planned streets with services. He explained that paving and the construction of detailed roads will follow as resources become available.

Project engineer Ahmed Dael confirmed the rapid completion of this initial phase, which traverses several villages to reach al-Ramda area. He highlighted its significance as a gateway to al-Salam, al-Rawnah, and al-Udayn districts, and its role in connecting nine streets on the city side and to al-Sitteen Street to the north.

Planning Sector Official Engineer Hamid emphasized that linking this third sector with the previously constructed second sector opens new connections between rural areas and the city, linking Al-Hawban to the planned city of al-Ramda and integrating districts to form the new Taiz city.
