Hamas condemned on Thursday the US position supporting the Israeli enemy's decision to ban the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
In a press statement, the movement considered this position an extension of a history of blatant American bias toward the enemy and its actions that conflict with international law and humanitarian conventions.
The movement stated that the US intervention before the International Court of Justice was consistent with the Zionist position seeking to undermine UNRWA's role and tighten the chain of genocide around our Palestinian people, in light of the brutal starvation crime being perpetrated against innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip.
It added that the accusations leveled by the enemy against UNRWA are blatant lies, concealing criminal efforts to eliminate the agency and end its relief role for our people, particularly the Palestinian refugee issue.
Hamas called on the international community and the United Nations to stand firmly against these dangerous policies, ensure the continued operation of UNRWA, and provide it with financial and political support so it can perform its duties in accordance with the UN mandate.
