Iranian Foreign Ministry Strongly Condemns US Airstrikes on Ras Isa Port

Tehran - (Saba):
The Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the US airstrikes on Ras Isa Port in Yemen, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of dozens of innocent Yemenis and the destruction of the port.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei expressed the Islamic Republic of Iran's solidarity with the resistant Yemeni people, calling for an end to the international community's silence and inaction regarding the US's flagrant violation of international law and human rights against the Yemeni people.

Baghhaei considered the US airstrikes on Yemen a clear example of the crime of aggression and a blatant violation of the fundamental principles and rules of the UN Charter and international law.

He stated that the US attacks on Yemen, which come in the context of comprehensive US support for the occupation and genocide carried out by the Zionist entity in occupied Palestine, have turned America into an accomplice and partner in Israel's crimes in Palestine and the region.

He warned that the continued US military aggression against Yemen, the destruction of Yemen's vital infrastructure, and the killing of the Muslim Yemeni people not only encourages the Zionist entity to continue its crimes in Gaza and the West Bank, but also constitutes a cause for escalation in the region and a threat to international peace and security.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman offered his condolences for the martyrdom of the Yemeni citizens, affirming the Islamic Republic of Iran's solidarity with the resistant Yemeni people. He called on the international community to end its silence and inaction regarding the US's flagrant violation of international law and human rights against the Yemeni people, recalling the responsibility of Islamic countries and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in this regard.
