Israeli enemy turns al-Aqsa Mosque into settler celebration hall with wedding party in its courtyards

Occupied al-Quds – Saba:

The Israeli enemy authorities on Monday escalated their violations against the blessed al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied al-Quds by allowing a wedding party for settlers to be held within the mosque's courtyards.

This move was described as "provocative and insulting," and represents a new chapter in the ongoing Judaization of the holy site.

Al-Quds Governorate said in a statement that today's transformation of al-Aqsa Mosque into a public celebration hall for settlers constitutes "a blatant violation of the sanctity of the mosque, a dangerous provocation of the feelings of Muslims, and a deliberate attempt to impose a new reality that obliterates the Islamic identity of the site and paves the way for its temporal and spatial division."

Video clips circulated by activists on social media showed a group of settlers celebrating inside one of al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards, under heavy protection from Israeli police, who prevented any Palestinian intervention to prevent the violation, according to the official Palestinian news agency.

Al-Quds Governorate considered what is happening at al-Aqsa Mosque to be part of a systematic policy aimed at altering its features and imposing Israeli sovereignty over it by force.

It emphasized that these repeated attacks contravene international law and UNESCO resolutions, which consider al-Aqsa Mosque a purely Islamic heritage site.

The Governorate called on the international community and relevant UN bodies to take immediate action to halt these escalating violations and provide international protection for Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Jerusalem.

Al-Aqsa Mosque is witnessing an unprecedented escalation in the frequency of daily settler incursions, coupled with severe restrictions on the entry of worshippers, which is increasing tension in the Holy City and threatening to escalate the situation.
