Manchester - Saba:
Norwegian Erling Haaland extended his contract with Manchester City until 2034 on Friday, an exceptionally long period for one of the best strikers in the world.
Haaland has averaged 44 goals per season since his arrival in the summer of 2022, and at this rate he can reach goal 530 with the Sky Blues.
Haaland has so far scored 111 goals in just 125 matches with Manchester City.
In his first season, he achieved the record for the number of goals in the English Premier League with 36 goals, although it is much less than Dixie Dean's goals of 60 goals with Everton in the 1927-1928 season.
Voted the media's Player of the Year in his first season, he was twice the league's top scorer, twice England champion, and was one of the standout players in the treble of Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup in 2023 that allowed Manchester City to equal the feat of the city's other pole, Manchester United, who achieved it in 1999.
Manchester City, the title holders for the last four years, are only sixth in the league, while Haaland is "only" second in the scoring charts (16 goals) behind Liverpool's Egyptian international striker Mohamed Salah, who leads with 18 goals.
In the Champions League too, Guardiola's team are in a poor position of 22nd before a crucial trip to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
