Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, broadcast a video recording on Saturday of a prisoner in its possession talking about his survival after the Israeli occupation bombed a tunnel, following the resumption of fighting in the Gaza Strip.
The prisoner said, "The prisoners were bombed again while we were underground. I was bombed twice by Israeli forces, and these are the results of military pressure."
He added, "I was bombed, and these are the results of military pressure and the war to release the prisoners that Netanyahu is talking about. My situation is very difficult, and there is no medicine."
The prisoner continued, "I do not know anything about the fate of my fellow prisoner who was with me at the time of the bombing."
He appealed to the Israeli street, saying, "If Netanyahu's son or the son of one of the leaders of the government coalition had been with us among the prisoners, the war would have stopped. How can you celebrate Independence Day while 59 of your citizens are in captivity?"
The prisoner concluded by saying, "Perhaps this recording is the last one." For me."
At the beginning of last March, the first phase of the 42-day ceasefire agreement in Gaza ended.
The Zionist enemy forces renounced entering the second phase of the agreement and resumed the war, which has claimed more than 170,000 lives and wounded since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, 2023.
There are still 59 prisoners held by the resistance in the Gaza Strip, 24 of whom are alive—according to the enemy's estimates—while more than 9,500 Palestinians are languishing in Zionist prisons, suffering from torture, starvation, and medical neglect, many of whom have died.
