A number of sheikhs and dignitaries from Yemen's tribes celebrated the occasion of Rajab Friday - the Yemeni people's entry into Islam anniversary.
The Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, Daifallah Rassam, along with a number of sheikhs and dignitaries, visited the market where the people of Yemen gathered around Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him, on the first Friday of Rajab, declaring their Islam and loyalty to God Almighty and His Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family.
In the presence of a number of elders from different directorates of the Secretariat, he heard from Khaled Al-Madani, First Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat, and Mahdi Arhab, Director of the Old Sana'a Directorate, an explanation about the ring market with its historical symbolism and its place in the hearts of the Yemenis, as the place where Yemenis gathered around Imam Ali, peace be upon him, during his visit as an envoy to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him.
Undersecretary Al-Madani stressed that the Yemeni tribes were the first to support the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and had the honor of calling them the Ansar. He pointed out that the Yemeni tribe's celebration of the Rajab Friday is a confirmation that the descendants of the Ansar are following the path of their forefathers , renewing the covenant and loyalty to God, His Holy Prophet and Imam Ali, peace be upon him.
The Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council and the sheikhs also visited the Imam Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque and the Great Mosque in Old Sana'a.
He expressed the Yemeni tribe's renewal of the covenant and loyalty to God Almighty, His Messenger, upon him and his family, the best prayer and peace, Imam Ali, may God honor his face, and the revolution leader , Sayyid Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and his absolute authorization in confronting the enemies and supporting the oppressed in Gaza and the weak in the earth.
