Gaza Municipality spokesman Hosni Muhanna warned on Sunday of a complete collapse of the infrastructure of the Sheikh Radwan pool area, as a result of the ongoing Zionist bombardment.
In a press statement, Muhanna was quoted by the "Palestine Today" news agency as saying: The Zionist bombardment of the Sheikh Radwan pool and the surrounding area north of the city led to the destruction of four out of five pumps, in addition to the backup generators. He added: "A sudden concrete subsidence of the pool building threatens to stop the operation of the pumps and a complete collapse of the area."
"The engineering team confirmed that there is a real risk of a complete collapse of the concrete floors and pump rooms if immediate intervention is not made," he said.
He stressed that the lack of fuel and machinery hinders the operation of external pumps and repairing the damage. He added: "The occupation army has destroyed 85 percent of the Gaza municipality's vehicles since the beginning of the war."
The Gaza Municipality appealed to international organizations to intervene to address the crisis, stop the war and bring in fuel and equipment for the municipality.
