Ramallah/Bethlehem/Jordan - Saba:
Groups of Zionist settlers continued on Saturday evening their criminal attacks against Palestinian civilians east of Ramallah, south of Bethlehem, and the northern Jordan Valley in the occupied West Bank under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
The official Palestinian News Agency reported that settlers, protected by the occupation forces, attacked the village of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah Saturday evening sparking clashes with Palestinian civilians.
Local sources reported that groups of settlers gathered at the western entrance to the village, while Israeli forces stormed the area to provide protection for the settlers and closed the entrance to the village. They fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters at unarmed Palestinians who came out to confront the settlers. No injuries were reported.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that the occupation forces prevented its crews from reaching the village of Deir Jarir after receiving a report of a settler attack on the village.
Earlier, armed Israeli enemy settlers, under the protection of the occupation forces, attacked the village of Rammun, east of Ramallah.
Ramun Village Council head Ibrahim al-Khatib reported that a group of armed settlers, under the protection of Israeli forces, attacked the village from the northwest and opened fire at residents and their homes. No injuries were reported.
Al-Khatib added that the settlers burned agricultural land surrounding Palestinian homes in the area, while Israeli forces stormed the area to provide protection for the settlers. They fired flares, which further ignited the fires and caused material damage to Palestinian land.
Settlers also attacked a Bedouin community in the Ein Ayoub area, west of Ramallah, and families from Arab al-Ka'abneh community, northeast of the city.
Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights said in a statement that settlers attacked a Bedouin community and burned their tents in the Ein Ayoub area, causing extensive property damage.
In another statement, it added that settlers attacked families from the Arab al-Ka'abneh tribe in the al-Khalayel area, northeast of Ramallah, and gave the residents a two-week deadline to vacate their homes and lands.
In a related development, Israeli settlers attacked a number of Palestinian farmers this evening while they were working on the land of Naim Muhammad al-Radi, located in the Khallet al-Nahla area of the village of Wadi Rahhal, south of Bethlehem.
A security source reported that a group of settlers raided the area, attacked the farmers, and physically assaulted them. Musa Muhammad Mahmoud Herzallah, Reda Muhammad Mahmoud Herzallah, and Abdullah Ibrahim Ziada sustained varying degrees of bruises.
The Khallet al-Nahla area has been subjected to repeated attacks by settlers for years, as part of attempts to seize more agricultural land for settlement expansion.
In the northern Jordan Valley, settlers stormed Khirbet Samra this evening and roamed among Palestinian residents' tents, sparking fear among residents, especially women and children.
The area witnesses daily raids by armed Zionist settlers, as part of a policy of continuous pressure on Palestinian residents to force them to leave their homes. This is part of the Israeli enemy's plan to empty the Jordan Valley of Palestinian citizens.
According to a report by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, settlers carried out 466 attacks against Palestinian citizens and their property in the West Bank during July, resulting in the deaths of four Palestinians and the forced displacement of two Bedouin communities consisting of 50 families.
