Enemy media: "Israeli" firefighting launches largest recruitment campaign due to hezbollah missiles

Occupied Quds - Saba:
The media of the Zionist enemy reported that the firefighting authority in the occupied entity launched the largest recruitment campaign in its history, due to what it said was "the need to deal with the intensity of fires that erupt as a result of Hezbollah missiles and drones."

The Zionist website "Walla" reported yesterday, Tuesday, that "the firefighting authority began a large-scale recruitment operation this week, the largest in the history of the formation." Israeli media reported that Hezbollah missiles and drones have set 220,000 dunams on fire since the start of Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” on October 7, 2023.

According to data from the Israeli Fire Authority, “80% of the bombing caused fires, most of them in the north, and the damage is in the millions of shekels.”

The Walla website quoted the Israeli Fire Commissioner, Eyal Caspi, as saying that he “ordered the immediate recruitment of 300 firefighters due to the need created by the war,” and that “in about 50% of the cases of (Hezbollah missiles) falling, the average time to deal with the fires they caused was about four hours, and this required the intervention of several teams.”

According to the website, Caspi said in a discussion in the Knesset National Security Committee last week that: “The fire department is small in relation to the population, and it is important that the teams arrive within a few minutes for every fire incident,” adding, “There are currently 2,235 firefighters in the fire department, meaning that in Israel, with about ten million people, there is one firefighter for every 4,474 people,” stressing the need for “at least 1,100 additional firefighters.”
