Moscow - Saba:
Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian President's Special Representative for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries and Chairman of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, expressed his support for the call for reconciliation between US President Donald Trump and businessman Elon Musk, made by former NASA Administrator candidate Jared Isaacman.
Isaacman had previously published a post on the X platform in which he called on Trump and Musk to overcome their differences and reconcile, noting that "this reconciliation is needed not only by the United States, but by the entire world."
Dmitriev responded to the post using emojis indicating support, including a thumbs-up and applause.
It is worth noting that a public dispute recently erupted between Trump and Musk over a budget proposal proposed by the US president. Musk described the bill in a post on X last Tuesday as "despicable and disgusting," calling for the bill to be "killed."
For his part, Trump said he was disappointed with Musk, despite "everything he's done for me." Musk responded that Trump wouldn't have become president without his support, noting that he helped Republicans take control of both houses of Congress.
Following this dispute, shares of Tesla, owned by Musk, fell 14% in trading on Thursday, before rising about 5% at the opening of trading on Friday, partially recouping Musk's losses.
