The Russian Defense Ministry has announced heavy losses inflicted on the Ukrainian Army in the special military operations zone and the destruction of dozens of Western enemy weapons.
Russia Today quoted the ministry as saying in a statement: "The Eastern Group of Forces hit Ukrainian units in three settlements in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts, where the enemy lost up to 200 servicemen."
The statement continued: "The Dnieper Group of Forces destroyed up to 80 Ukrainian militants, two artillery pieces, three electronic warfare stations, and an ammunition depot."
The ministry said: "The Western Group of Forces hit units of six Ukrainian brigades, where the enemy lost up to 220 servicemen."
It noted that the Northern Group of Forces hit Ukrainian units in eight settlements in Sumy Oblast, where Kyiv lost more than 255 servicemen.
The statement said: "The Southern Group of Forces improved its position on the front line, where Ukrainian forces lost up to 180 servicemen."
The statement concluded: "The Center Group of Forces continued to advance deep into the Ukrainian defenses, where the enemy lost more than 455 servicemen."
