Erbil - Saba: A goalless draw prevailed in the match between Al-Ahly Sana'a and its host, Al-Sinaa of Iraq, in the experimental match that was held this afternoon at the Hendren Club Stadium in Erbil Governorate.
The match comes as part of the preparations of the Red Sana'a for the upcoming confrontation next Wednesday against Al-Nasr of the Emirates in the second round of the Gulf Club Champions Cup.
Coach Idris Al-Morabit pushed a lineup consisting of goalkeeper Mohammed Aman, in front of him Mudir Abdul Rabbah, Abdul Aziz Al-Jama'i and Jilos, and in the right back Alaa Noman and in the north Radwan Al-Habishi, and in the circle the team captain Wahid Al-Khayat and Othman Dioun and in the wings Boubacar Ndiaye and Youssef Al-Haimi and in the spearhead Abdul Fadil Swanon.
The first half ended in a goalless draw despite the availability of some opportunities, most notably Youssef Al-Haimi's solo shot at the goalkeeper's body to return to his colleague Boubacar, who strangely wasted it over the crossbar.
In the second half, which witnessed a series of changes, Al-Ahly controlled the course of the half relatively and took the initiative to advance towards the opponent's field and had good scoring opportunities, but Al-Bayadh's equalizer tightened its grip, and the match ended with a clean sheet.
