Ibb governor, Abdul Wahid Salah, inspected on Monday the conditions of inmates in the central correctional facility in the province.
During the visit, he was briefed on the services and care provided to inmates , the renovations carried out in the buildings during the past period, and heard from the director of the central prison, Colonel Radwan Sinan, about the conditions and needs of the inmates, the rehabilitation and training programs implemented, and the work progress on the project to build a new women's section in the correctional facility, which is being implemented with funding from the local council.
Ibb governor called on humanitarian organizations, associations, capital owners , wealthy people to provide aid and assistance to the inmates to alleviate their suffering, urging the prison administration to redouble efforts to develop the various health, educational and legal services provided to the inmates.
Governor Salah emphasized the keenness of the provincial leadership to provide support to the prison administration according to the available capabilities, enabling it to provide basic needs and requirements to improve the conditions of prisoners.
