Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Saturday issued a decree appointing Mohammad Ghazi al-Jalali to form a new government in Syria.
According to the Syrian News Agency (SANA), Dr. Jalali, born in Damascus in 1969, previously served as Communications and Technology Minister from August 2014 to July 2016, Communications and Technology Assistant Minister from May 2008 to August 2014, Associate Professor and President of the Syrian Private University (SPU) since September 2023, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Quality Makers since April 2019.
He holds a PhD in Engineering Economics from Ain Shams University in Cairo in 2000, a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Ain Shams University in Cairo in 1997, a Postgraduate Diploma in Civil Engineering from Damascus University in 1994, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Damascus University in 1992.
He implemented many training courses in the fields of engineering economics, engineering contract management, engineering arbitration, engineering project management in Syria and some Arab countries, and presented many scientific papers , research papers in conferences , workshops in Syria and some Arab countries as well.
