SANA'A September 07. 2024 (Saba) — Parliament chairmanship in the capital Sana'a on Saturday commemorated the anniversary of the Prophet's birth, underscoring its significance for both national identity and support for global causes.

The event, attended by senior officials including member of the Supreme Political Council Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor and Parliament Speaker Yahya al-Rai', featured a speech by Deputy Speaker Abdulrahman al-Jumai.

He emphasized drawing lessons from the Prophet Muhammad’s life and applying these values to confront current challenges, notably the plight of the Palestinian people.

Al-Jumai highlighted the detrimental effects of distancing from the Prophet’s teachings and condemned the ongoing injustices faced by Palestinians, including the siege and destruction in Gaza.

He called for continued support for the Palestinian cause and for upholding the Prophet’s values through practical action.

Al-Jumai also reiterated Yemen’s commitment to support Palestine despite international pressures and criticized the lack of action from the Arab world regarding Palestinian suffering.

He praised Yemen's steadfast stance and resistance against foreign aggression and called for greater mobilization to support Palestinians.

Islamic Scholar Hussein bin Muhammad al-Hadar, representing the Yemeni Scholars Association, reinforced the importance of celebrating the Prophet’s birth as a religious duty and reaffirmed Yemen’s deep connection to the Prophet’s values.

He condemned the ongoing atrocities in Palestine and criticized the international community's inaction, calling for a unified response to the crisis.
