BAYDA September 05. 2024 (Saba)- The colleges of Al-Bayda University in Al-Bayda Province organized on Thursday a cultural and speech event on the occasion of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad's anniversary.
In the event, Governor Abdullah Idris stressed that the commemoration of this solemn religious occasion is a faithful station to be equipped with Muhammadan values, morals and principles, noting that the Holy Prophet guided the nation to the right path and refused to submit to anyone other than God Almighty, as well as confronting the enemies whatever the sacrifices and challenges.
He pointed out that celebrating the of the Prophet Muhammad's birth anniversary at this stage when the Islamic nation is facing a number of challenges , repeated insults to its symbols and sanctities represents a practical response that highlights the status of the Book of Allah and the greatness of the Prophet in the conscience of its children.
For his part, Dr. Mohammed Al-Saadi, Secretary of Al-Bayda University, considered the commemoration of the Prophet's Birthday anniversary as a station of faith and education to strengthen the connection to the Prophet and adhere to his methodology.
At the event, which was attended by Abdullah Al-Jamali and Saleh Al-Mansouri, the province deputies, the commander of the Central Security Camp, Brigadier General Ali Al-Rasas, and the deputy director of the province police, Brigadier General Abdulhakim Al-Hansari, the Faculty of Sharia and Law dean , Dr. Saleh Sharkha, said in a speech on behalf of the university faculties that the celebration represents a strong response to all those who claim that reviving this occasion is an innovation.
He reviewed the close connection between the Yemeni people and the Messenger of Allah, peace , blessings be upon him and his family.
Sharkha emphasized that the celebration of the Prophet's Birthday reflects that connection and the great status that the Holy Prophet gave to Yemenis.
A speech delivered by Sheikh Abdulhamid Al-Ghayathi on behalf of the scholars emphasized the importance of drawing lessons from the Prophet's life and enshrining them in reality as a way of life.
