The Yemeni Authority for Specifications, Standards, and Quality Control has issued a warning to consumers and retailers against purchasing or selling a sweetened broken sliced pineapple product under the brand "Wadi Al-Khair," manufactured in Thailand.
In a statement released today, the authority clarified that the product violates the requirements of approved standard specifications and technical regulations, particularly due to unsafe internal packaging that may harm consumers and affect public safety. The authority urged consumers and shop owners to refrain from buying or selling the product.
The authority also called on citizens to avoid consuming the product and to report its presence in the market by contacting the toll-free number 8001222.
Additionally, the authority confirmed that it is taking necessary measures to ensure the product is removed from the market to protect consumer health, warning that legal action will be taken against violators.
