RAMALLAH August 12. 2024 (Saba) - Number of detainees in the West Bank, including occupied Quds, in prisons of the Zionist enemy has increased, since October 7, to more than 10,000 Palestinians.

Prisoners' and Ex-Prisoners' Affairs Authority, the Prisoners' Club, and the Addameer Foundation for Prisoner Care and Human Rights said in a statement on Monday that the total number of arrests among women rose to more than 345 cases, including women who were arrested from the territories of 1948, and female arrestees from Gaza.

Regarding cases of arrest among children, the Prisoner’s Club said that the number of cases of since the start of the aggression has reached at least 700 cases.

Prisoner institutions confirmed in their statement that the ongoing arrest campaigns are accompanied by escalating crimes and violations, including harassment, severe beatings, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens’ homes.

She said that administrative detention orders since the beginning of the Zionist aggression amounted to more than 8,322 orders, including new orders and renewal orders, including orders against children and women.

Prisoners' institutions indicated that the total number of prisoners in enemy prisons until the beginning of August 2024 is more than 9,900, while the number of administrative detainees is 3,432 detainees.

Prisoners' institutions have warned that data related to detention cases changes on a daily basis, as a result of the continuous campaigns carried out by the Zionist enemy army.
