RAMALLAH August 08. 2024 (Saba) - The Palestinian Foreign Ministry on Thursday said that the statement made by the so-called Zionist Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, justifying the killing and starving of two million residents of the Gaza Strip, is an explicit recognition of adopting and boasting about the policy of genocide.
In a statement, the ministry added that this statement is a flagrant violation of the rules of international law and the basic principles of humanity, and a flagrant challenge to the International Court of Justice and its precautionary orders, and a direct disregard for the resolutions of international legitimacy and the international consensus to protect civilians and secure their basic humanitarian needs.
It called on the International Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant against Smotrich for his explicit and clear admission of supporting and adopting the policy of genocide and imposing more collective punishment on Palestinian civilians, and also called on countries to condemn this position and declare their boycott of Smotrich and his ilk and prevent him from entering their territories.
