Iranian Defense Minister, Brigadier General Amir Nasirzadeh, emphasized during a phone call with Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov that Iran will decisively and forcefully punish aggressors on its soil and will not accept any form of imposed peace.
According to Iran’s Mehr News Agency, the Russian Defense Minister expressed his condolences over the martyrdom of several senior Iranian military leaders and citizens, reaffirming his country’s full support for the Iranian government and people.
For his part, Nasirzadeh thanked Russia for its support, stressing that the confrontation is not limited to the Zionist entity alone, but that the U.S. and several other countries also back this entity.
"Our decision is to punish the aggressor with all our strength, and we will not accept a peace imposed on us," he added, emphasizing that the U.S. is the root cause of all chaos and instability in the region.
He continued, "We can cooperate to establish peace and stability in the region and the world."
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Minister affirmed that the attack on Iranian territory under the pretext of the nuclear issue is merely an excuse, clarifying that the real goal is to weaken Iran and destabilize the entire region.
He stated that Russia is closely monitoring developments and will continue its support for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
