The spokesperson for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly announced that the committee approved, during its meeting on Monday, the general framework of a draft bill requiring the government to suspend cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
In a statement to the Iranian "Tasnim" news agency, the spokesperson clarified that "committee members voted in favor of the bill's principle" without providing additional details regarding its provisions or implementation mechanism. He added that discussions on the bill's detailed articles would continue at a later stage.
