IBB August 07. 2024 (Saba) - Awqaf Authority Office in Ibb province on Wednesday organized a training workshop, focusing on developing financial and electronic work, and enhancing resources for workers involved in collecting Awqaf resources across various districts of the governorate.
The workshop, which saw the participation of 150 trainees, aimed to enhance financial and electronic work proficiency among the targeted groups, providing participants with essential information and skills related to revenue collection and development methods.
Governor Abdulwahid Salah, speaking at the opening, commended the efforts of the General Authority of Awqaf in improving work efficiency and developing revenue collection mechanisms according to state directives. He encouraged participants to utilize the knowledge gained from the workshop to improve performance and achievement in collecting Awqaf revenues.
Governor Salah emphasized the governorate leadership's readiness to cooperate with the Authority's office, overcoming obstacles to implement its plans and programs effectively.
Public Prosecution Attorney Judge Bakil al-Sufi highlighted aspects of the Penal Code and penalties related to collection activities, urging all to work within the legal framework to serve the country and society.
Deputy Director General of the Awqaf Authority Office in the province Saddam al-Omaisi stated that the workshop is part of the office's plan to enhance the collection and supply of endowment dues, stressing the importance of developing revenues and preserving endowment properties and assets.
Directors of Legal Affairs, Investment, Financial Affairs, and Human Resources in the Office—Majed Rizk, Khalil Al-Gharab, Khaled al-Hamdi, and Mohammed al-Barh respectively—discussed the proper use of collection coupons, the importance of revenue collection, resource and investment raising, data limitation, investment standards, and the Code of Professional Conduct.
The workshop, attended by undersecretary governor's Ali al-Badani and Director of Revenues at the Authority's Office Youssef al-Gharab concluded with the honoring of individuals who excelled in the collection and supply process during the past fiscal year, awarding them certificates of appreciation.
