Sana'a - (Saba):
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects continued thunderstorms of varying intensity and scattered showers in a number of governorates over the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that thunderstorms of varying intensity, possibly accompanied by hail, are expected in the governorates of Dhamar, Sana'a, Al Mahwit, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, Saada, Amran, and Hajjah.
Scattered rain is also likely in parts of the governorates of Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah, Hadhramaut, western Jawf, and Bayda. It may also include parts of the highlands and Tihama plains.
According to the center, the amount of rain that fell over the past 24 hours, as measured at meteorological stations in Al Mahwit, amounted to 22.2 mm; Ibb: 10.5 mm; Hajjah: 10.2 mm; and Sana'a - Bayt Bous: 8.0 mm. Scattered rains also fell outside the scope of monitoring stations in parts of the governorates of Taiz, Al Dhale'e, Raymah, Dhamar, Sana'a, Amran, and Saada.
The center warned citizens of flash floods in ravines and valleys and advised against crossing or staying in them. It also warned citizens of thunderstorms and strong downward winds.
It also warned drivers on mountain roads of reduced visibility due to rain, low clouds, and fog.
