Taiz - Saba:
The 66th free eye surgery camp began at the General Military Hospital in al-Taezeyah district in Taiz province organized by the Association for Health Care for Affected Communities and funded by the General Authority of Zakat.
Over six days, the camp will provide checkups and perform 200 surgeries, including cataract removal, pterygium excision, and eyelid cyst removal, targeting low-income patients from Taiz and nearby areas.
Dr. Nashwan al-Atab, head of the association, said the first three days will focus on examinations and pre-surgical assessments. He praised Zakat Authority’s support in easing citizens' suffering amid ongoing hardship.
