Hodeida - Saba:
A cultural event was held on Saturday in Al-Luhiyah city, Al-Hodeida Governorate, to commemorate Ashura and launch the second round of "Al-Aqsa Flood" courses for the year 1447 AH.
The event, attended by scholars, sheikhs, and social figures, highlighted the jihadist lessons from the epic of Karbala and its connection to the ongoing battle of the Ummah against American-Zionist aggression, particularly in the Gaza Strip. It emphasized that the revolution of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) represents an immortal model of steadfastness in truth and resistance against tyranny.
The director of the district, Majed Amish, noted that this year’s Ashura commemoration coincides with a brutal aggression against Gaza, stressing that the "Al-Aqsa Flood" battle embodies the living extension of Karbala in terms of sacrifice and redemption. He affirmed that the genocidal war faced by the Palestinian people is a continuation of the struggle between truth and falsehood, adding that reviving Ashura means reviving the values of awareness, renaissance, and steadfastness championed by Imam Hussein (pbuh).
Sheikh Mohammed Jundus presented a historical account of the events of the Battle of Karbala and the stances of Imam Hussein, his family, and companions. He pointed out that the Karbala narrative forms a solid foundation for promoting a culture of resistance and confronting conspiracies targeting the Ummah and its sanctities.
Speeches at the event underscored the importance of transforming Ashura into an educational and cultural occasion that instills loyalty to Ahl al-Bayt (the Prophet’s household) and the spirit of struggle in the path of God. They also stressed the need to integrate these values into educational curricula and activities.
The speeches highlighted that this event is part of cultural and mobilization efforts aimed at building a generation faithful to God, proud of Quranic teachings, and prepared to carry the banner of jihad. They emphasized that launching a new phase of the "Al-Aqsa Flood" courses and activities reflects the practical readiness of the district’s youth to confront challenges and reinforce the choice of resistance.
