Zionist enemy army opens investigation into non-interception of Yemeni drone
Zionist enemy army opens investigation into non-interception of Yemeni drone "Jaffa"
Zionist enemy army opens investigation into non-interception of Yemeni drone "Jaffa"

GAZA July 19. 2024 (Saba) -The Zionist enemy army announced on Friday that it will open an investigation to find out why the drone "Jaffa" launched by the Yemeni armed forces towards "Tel Aviv" was not intercepted, amid conflicting military data and accusations from the opposition to Benjamin Netanyahu's government of failing to protect the occupation entity.

The Zionist website "Ynet" said that after the initial inspection conducted by the occupation army for the march attack, the army admitted that "this is a bad incident that should not happen, and the weather weapon bears full responsibility for the incident as the defender of the country's skies."

According to the enemy army, the target was discovered too late and the detection systems saw the target in part of the flight path, but due to human error it did not move against it and it was not shot down. "There is no intelligence on an intention to damage the US embassy," he said.

"There will be another assessment of the situation later this morning. We are in a long war and air defense is not tight. Besides the fact that we succeeded in shooting down a target from the east, we are investigating this event." He added.

He continued: "We saw the effects of drones that tried to mislead us and changed the direction of flight during the flight." He announced that he had strengthened the air defense system, and indicated that there were no additional drones on their way to Israel.

Meanwhile, sources in the office of the prime minister of the Zionist enemy said: "Netanyahu is expected to cancel his travel to the United States in the coming days, following the targeting of Tel Aviv."

In light of the drone incident, the head of the local authority in Tel Aviv, Ron Huldai, announced that "Tel Aviv-Jaffa has moved to a state of high alert."

A Zionist military official said a "very large drone that can fly long distances" was used in the Tel Aviv attack. He stressed that "human error" caused the interception and defense systems to not operate.

"No warning was issued in Tel Aviv because it was not activated." He stressed that "the matter is under deep investigation, many forces are working at the site, and the weather Air Patrols operating to protect the country's skies have been strengthened." He said.

Israeli Army Radio reported that the drone was monitored and was not intercepted because it was not classified as a hostile target.

Reuters quoted a Zionist military official as saying that he "does not rule out any possibility regarding the source of the drone that hit Tel Aviv."

After the attack, Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid called for the departure of Benjamin Netanyahu's government, saying that "the explosion of the drone in Tel Aviv is further proof that this government does not know and cannot provide security for its citizens."

Lapid added in a tweet on the "X" platform: Those who lose deterrence in the north (Lebanon) and the south (Gaza) also lose it in the heart of "Tel Aviv."

For his part, the head of the "Yisrael Beitenu" party, Avigdor Lieberman, described the incident as very serious, and that it is a direct result of what he called "the policy of containment and humiliation" under which "the government of illusions continues to work and refuses to rise after the events of the seventh of October 2023."

On the other hand, the so-called far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said that Israel's red line was breached in the north, and those who work to contain the bombing of Kiryat Shmona and Sderot receive the bombing of Tel Aviv.

This is the first time that the Zionist entity acknowledges that Tel Aviv was subjected to a drone air strike coming from Yemen since the Yemeni armed forces began their operations against targets inside the occupied Palestinian territories and associated ships in the Red Sea, the Bab al-Mandab Strait and the Gulf of Aden.
