BEIRUT July 13. 2024 (Saba) -Israel cannot act stupidly, Hezbollah deputy secretary-general said on Friday, because the Zionist entity "knows well that it would pay high price."
"Netanyahu needs to know that if he prolongs the fighting, there will be attrition suffered more by the entity than by the resistance and the Palestinians," Sheikh Naeem Qasim added in remarks carried by Lebanese media.
With no other option available, the Palestinians will withstand until the end, as they proved to keep on fighting, resisting, sacrificing and standing for the sake of their dignity and land, he argued.
Lebanon front achieved great deterrence throughout 9 months, successfully limited the battle within narrow range, and inflicted significant losses to the enemy, he said, citing the displacement of nearly 100,000 people and the human, ordnance and economic losses.
"Today, all the eyes are at Gaza; will a ceasefire occur? All the relevant parties agreed to a ceasefire excepting for Netanyahu.. who tries to postpone," Sheikh Qasim added.
